The sailing clothing designer "BMS" BERND - MICHAEL SCHRÖDER and his international TEST - TEAM have now asked themselves this question.

It was found that the jeans did not meet the necessary comfort and sporting requirements. In addition, sailors also want to stand out from other groups in the style of their clothing. So a newly designed pair of pants was needed. However, significant changes had to be made. A heavy COTTON fabric was chosen as the material, which is very similar to jeans fabric. The waistband and legs have an elastic finish to prevent the trouser legs from slipping.

A drawstring in the waistband of the pants provides additional support. Side zips on the legs give additional adjustment options. The two side trouser pockets are secured with zips so that nothing can slip out of the pockets while sailing. The knees and the bottom of the trousers are doubled.

Seven loops hold a BMS belt and a thigh pocket with Velcro secures personal belongings.

These Match Race pants are also popular with inline skaters, skiers and surfers.
