SoftLan® 10.000 / 10.000

The BMS SoftLan® articles are made of high-quality and robust Taslan. The outer material is a breathable nylon fabric with a PUR coating. The surface structure is very soft and comfortable. The “fabric-like” character in this form is rare in functional textiles. The SoftLan® garments are available in two versions (lined and unlined) and are 100% waterproof thanks to their taped seams.

SoftShell 10.000 / 5.000 

BMS Softshell is a breathable and 100% waterproof material made of polyester. The very light yet hard-wearing outer material is windproof. The Antarctic Clima fleece inside provides thermal insulation. This combines the advantages of a functional jacket with the properties of Antarctic Clima fleece. SoftShell is easy to care for.

SoftSkin® - 100% waterproof

SoftSkin® is a proprietary development from BMS. This material consists of two layers. A particularly tear-resistant carrier fabric made of double knit (nylon) and a coating of environmentally friendly polyurethane (PUR). The decisive factor in the development was that the carrier fabric achieves the required stability. The polyurethane layer is applied in five wafer-thin layers, making the entire material beautifully soft and supple. SoftSkin is 100% waterproof and slightly breathable.

Sorona® AURA 

BMS uses Sorona® AURA in all current lined articles. These are the HafenCity Caot, the Alaska and Himalaya Parka, the HelyCopter Blouson and the breathable winter clothing for kids' snowsuits. Convince yourself of the unique advantages of insulation with Sorona® AURA: outstanding softness, good compression and recovery, good heat retention, made from renewable raw material (corn). DuPont Sorona® fiber, based on renewable raw materials, underlines BMS' commitment to developing innovative solutions that help reduce dependence on fossil fuels and CO2 emissions. Sorona® AURA fiber contains 37% by weight of annually renewable plant-based raw materials. Its eco-balance is even better. The production of Sorona® requires 30% less energy and releases 63% less greenhouse gases than the production of polyamide 6. Compared to polyamide 6.6, Sorona® consumes 40% less energy and reduces greenhouse gas emissions by 56%.

BIONIC-FINISH®ECO 

Why does the plumage of waterfowl not get wet? Why does this type of water repellency work in nature without perfluorinated compounds? RUDOLF GROUP has answered these questions with the help of the scientific field of bionics. Bionics does not mean imitating nature, but recognizing its functional principle and transferring it into a technical solution. In this way, new, sustainable and ecologically advantageous technologies for hydrophobization have been developed. The hydrophobization of BIONIC-FINISH®ECO is based on a fluorine-free formulation. Highly branched, hydrophobic polymers with ramified structures like tree crowns align themselves in an orderly fashion on the textile and crystallize on specially matched comb polymers. The optimum arrangement of many of these functional elements is highly effective. Additional boosters (crosslinkers) ensure optimum anchoring and permanence on many fiber substrates.

ClimateXXL 

Climate-XXL technology refers to a ventilation system that is created by combining the respective outer fabric with the selected lining material (often a mesh lining). The constant exchange of air, moisture and heat from the outside to the inside (and vice versa) creates a comfortable wearing climate. The garments are extremely comfortable to wear, even during sporting activities.

Antarctic Clima-Fleece® 

Antarctic Clima-Fleece is a polyester knitted fabric. During production, it is combed vigorously on one or both sides. This creates a dense pile with a fluffy surface. This fabric structure gives the breathable garments excellent thermal insulation with a low weight. The material is water-repellent and protects against light rain. The hard-wearing BMS Antarctic Clima fleece items are available in two qualities. The light version is the Antarctic Clima-Fleece Vario (260 g). The slightly thicker material is called Antarctic Clima-Fleece (300 g). The robust and durable collection items have an anti-pilling finish (brush and cut) on both sides of the material. Antarctic Clima fleece (Vario) is easy to care for and dries quickly.

Antarctic Clima-Fleece® Windsmoother 

The products in the BMS Antarctic Clima-Fleece Windsmoother collection are around 2.5 times warmer than the normal Antarctic Clima-Fleece. The integrated Windsmoother, a taffeta-bonded nylon lining, traps air and thus provides good thermal insulation. This addition to the Antarctic Clima fleece is not bulky and ensures good freedom of movement, even during sporting activities, despite the garment's low weight.
